Family Self-Defense with LASD force-trainer Robin Price

● Women’s Self-Defense
● Children’s Self-Defense
● Family Home Defense: Emergency Planning

Instructor Robin Price is a force trainer for the L.A. Sheriff’s Department, specializing in non-injurious restraint. He is also a former national champion in Savate (French kickboxing) and holds instructor ranks in Police Krav Maga, Bujinkan Jujitsu, and Apache Knife. Robin is a gentle family man who is skilled at, and prefers, avoiding conflict. He is also someone who will not hesitate to use deadly force to protect the innocent, and his goal is always to teach both of these sides to self-defense.

Seminars can be designed to be focused on self-defense technique or practical planning for emergency situations. Home visits involve a detailed formal assessment of home defense and emergency issues (Which parts of the home are dead ends? Are there adequate second-floor escapes?)

Family defense preparedness includes home safety-conditional plans (different plans for different emergency types, defensive weapons, situational awareness, and an overview of practical techniques and tactics. Parents will learn the first steps to building a solid plan for emergencies of all kinds, and how to prepare children of different ages through drills and procedures to respond efficiently to emergency situations.

Topics can include:
● The practical limits of martial arts training.
● Team roles in emergency drills: who protects whom and how.
● Safe weapon storage and effective retrieval.
● Firearms, hand-weapons, and improvised weapons: how much training is necessary?
● Forming a supportive self-defense and firearms-ownership community.
